Located in western Sonoma County the variety of things to do and see are plentiful. You’ll be in close proximity to numerous wineries (the third largest vacation attraction in California), and just 15 minutes from the ocean at Bodega Bay. Downtown Sebastopol is less than a ten-minute drive and is well loved for its charming old-town strip, its award winning wineries, antique shops, and many restaurants dedicated to the slow food movement! And don’t miss Sebastopol’s trending Barlow Center, complete with restaurants, wineries, distillery, and artisans. On your way to town, meander down Florence Avenue, Sebastopol’s lavishly adorned street, rich with Patrick Amiot’s whacky, fun and famous junk art sculptures. Just to the west, the charming hamlets of Occidental and Freestone are known for their restaurants, bakeries and artisan cheese; these are great stops on your way to the ocean, Russian River, or Armstrong Redwoods. Other activities available include hot air balloon rides, Russian River canoeing, as well as many excellent biking and hiking destinations.
The Loft is perfectly located, roughly half way between Sebastopol and Freestone, tucked away down a quiet private lane, yet with easy access major highways and roads to see all of Sonoma County and more. But it’s so beautiful, relaxing and quiet, maybe you’ll just want to hang out. It’s here for solace and retreat …or for your landing pad between activities.
